The bottom of the head should be cleaned carefully. Just cleaning the sides of the head is not enough.
1) Unplug the t-jet.
2) Push the bed in half way.
3) Push the cartridge carriage over to the middle of the printer.
4) Place a small mirror in the bed under the carriage.
5) The front end of the print head and the back end have metal that has probably turned blacked and is covered with ink.
6) Clean these metal edges with a small foam swab which has alcohol.
7) Be sure to rub gently and not wipe across the face of the print head.
8) The long edges of the print head have a grove that mates with the capping station. These groves can also fill with old ink. So rub these gently with a alcohol swap.
